David D. Ramsey, FSA, MAAA

President and Chief Executive Officer


David D. Ramsey has been with the company for over 6 years and currently serves as the President and CEO. He has nearly 30 years of experience with long-term care, life, and annuity products. Most of his career has focused on working with executive management teams, mergers and acquisitions activity, and serving in various actuarial roles. Prior to joining Continental General, Mr. Ramsey was the Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary of National Western Life Insurance Company, Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer of Continental General Insurance Company, and LTC Divisional Vice President and Chief Actuary of Great American Insurance Group. Before Great American, Mr. Ramsey held positions as Senior Consulting Actuary of Actuarial Resources Corporation, President and Consulting Actuary of Allen Bailey & Associates, and Associate Actuary of One American Financial. He has been a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 2001. He holds a B.S. in Actuarial Science from Ball State University.
