Fabiola Best recently joined the company as a Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She has more than 27 years of insurance experience supporting a variety of insurance products with an emphasis on management of customer service, call centers, billing, underwriting, and new business. Prior to joining Continental, Fabiola served as Vice President of Administration for National Western Life Insurance Company. She holds a Fellow, Life Management Institute designation, as well as Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting. She holds a B.S in Business Management from Universidad de Lima, Peru.

Rachel Giani joined the company in 2021 as a Senior Vice President and General Counsel and has been practicing insurance regulatory and corporate law for over 15 years. She has extensive background in insurance company M&A, investment issues, and corporate governance, with experience both in private practice and as a regulator. Prior to joining Continental, she worked at Winstead PC and served as outside counsel to a diverse group of clients. Earlier in her career, she was the Director of Financial Counsel at the Texas Department of Insurance. For much of her time as an attorney, Ms. Giani has been involved in developing and implementing the legal framework that governs insurance companies. She holds a B.A. and a J.D from the University of Texas and was licensed to practice law in 2007.

Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary, and Chief Risk Officer
Thomas E. Pyle has been with Continental for over 15 years and currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary, and Chief Risk Officer. Mr. Pyle has more than 20 years of actuarial experience with an emphasis in long-term care and Medicare Supplement insurance. Prior to joining Continental, he was a Senior Consulting Actuary at Allen Bailey & Associates from 2009 to 2016 and a valuation actuary for Great American Supplement Benefits Group from 2002 to 2009, where he served as the appointed actuary for United Teacher Associates Insurance Company and Loyal American Life Insurance Company in 2008. Mr. Pyle began his career as an actuary at the Ceres Group from 2000 to 2002. He has been an Associate of the Society of Actuaries since 2006 and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 2007. Mr. Pyle holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Central Arkansas and an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Missouri.

Janet Ward has been with Continental General for over 10 years and currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. Ward has over 20 years of insurance financial reporting experience with long-term care, life, annuity, and other health related products, including financial reporting, planning and forecasting on a statutory and GAAP basis. Prior to joining Continental General, Mrs. Ward served as Director of Accounting for Cigna Supplemental Benefits with responsibility for financial reporting, planning and analysis. Prior to joining Cigna Supplemental Benefits, Mrs. Ward served as Divisional Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting for Great American Supplemental Benefits Group. She holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from The University of Texas – Austin.
